Two sannyasins, Dutch DJ Shahjahan Riktam and his Spanish partner Joseph Quinteros aka Bansi, promise to take listeners to "another level" with their electronic dance music.
"My parents became sannyasins when they came to the Osho ashram in the early 70s and I stayed at the commune′s Pune ashram for six years as a kid," says Riktam, 34. "I don′t remember much about life in the ashram but my parents tell me that Riktam is my spiritual name given by a guru at the ashram."
When the duo plays together, they call themselves Growling Mad Scientists (GMS) - a name which came from the growling sound made by their synthesiser. "We were looking for a cool sounding name," he says.
