  The Five Precepts of Reiki

  The five precepts, or Gokai in Japanese, are meant to invite happiness, the spiritual medicine for all illness.
  

  For today only:

  1. Do not anger
  2. Do not worry
  3. Be humble
  4. Be honest in your work
  5. Be compassionate to yourself and others

  The five precepts are completely covered by the Buddhist practice of compassion, called ′Maitri Bhavana′. The five precepts would also be fully covered by what Upanishads refer to as ′Witnessing′, or by Gurdjieff′s ′Self-remembering′ or Krishnamurti′s ′Choiceless Awareness′.
  Witnessing, Self-remembering and Choiceless Awareness are all the same as what Buddha called ′Sammasati′ or ′Right Mindfulness′.

  Upon activation of these crystals we can learn the secrets of how to be in a physical body and in a material world, yet not be bound to it. • EFT founder Cary Craig′s website and his daughter′s website offer a simple and fast technique to rid oneself of different kinds of emotional and physical problems within minutes. The idea behind it is that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body′s energy system". Balancing this system does away with the ailment. Balancing is achieved by gently tapping at, or near, the end of the Acupuncture meridians.
  • There is reason to believe that EFT′s unquestionable effectiveness may not depend on the actual acupuncture points tapped. Its effectiveness may be due to a hightened awareness and disidentification during the tapping sequence, similar to what happens in Buddha′s method of repetitive focussing on discomfort. The tapping would then help to intensify focus on a problem.
    The relevancy of meridians in EFT is even more questionable if one realises that there are other tapping techniques aimed at improving health that don′t take meridians into account, for example Body Talk.

• TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) Like EFT (mentioned above) it is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and it can be equally effective as to the treatment of traumatic stress, allergic reactions, and negative fixed emotional states.
  According to TCM, many acupuncture meridians merge and enter the brain at specific facial points: these points are activated during the TAT treatment and, combined with the client′s attention, this opens up the flow of blocked information. TAT-protocols are used in anxiety disorders, phobia, trauma, allergies and problematic relationships.
  TAT is based on a pose by which some sort of circuit is connected and negative feelings just drift away. Apparently Chi Gung Masters have been using it for millennia, but it took a woman, Tapas Fleming, to bring it to the West. She teaches her own framework for using it, but the basic idea is simple: focus on a negative feeling, hold the pose, and let it go easily.
  The benefit over EFT-style tapping is that you don′t have to tap feelings one by one. You can focus on a particular memory and the layers and layers of feelings connected with it just peel themselves away.
  It seems that TAT releases negative feelings faster than EFT, because Tapas says to only do TAT for a maximum of 20 minutes a day, while most people can practise EFT a couple of hours before their brain gets tired. EFT is more appropriate when you have a specific feeling or belief you want to get rid of.
  Here′s a video made by Magnus, called ′Tapping for the Troops′, which he produced for a friend of his in Iraq, who is rather haunted by some of the things he′s seen. The counselling he′s having is helping, but TAT instantly made him feel better about a particular event he′d witnessed.

• The Five Tibetan Rites Exercises for healing, rejuvenation, and longevity. The five Tibetan rites were first introduced in a booklet by Peter Kelder of 1939, called The Eye of Revelation. Nowadays you can read about them in The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth. It′s the same book, but with a different title, and the content has been modefied and added to, to suit the taste of a more esoterically seasoned public. The original booklet counts 32 pages, the modern version 106. The Fountain of Youth is a good read, the Five Rites remain equally effective, but it′s certainly worth your while to read the original material too.
